Meet Dr Dilley

Dr Dilley obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of NSW before further surgical training at Concord Repatriation, Royal North Shore, Westmead, Camperdown Children’s, Wollongong  and Liverpool Hospitals.

He completed a further year of specialist training in hand and microsuregery at the Kleinert Institute and University of Louisville, Kentucky, USA.

He was then consultant hand and orthopaedic surgeon for Westmead Public Hospital and St George Public Hospital, before moving into the private hospital system.

He now operates at Kareena Private Hospital and Strathfield Private Hospital, and consults at Harris Park, Gymea, Strathfield and Concord.

Dr Dilley has a special interest in Dupuytren’s Contracture, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, wrist problems and treats a range of hand conditions from the common to the complex.

Dr Dilley has lectured in orthopaedic surgery at the University of NSW and is published in peer-review journals such as The Journal of Hand Surgery and co-authored the chapter on hand injuries in the Oxford Handbook of Sports Medicine.

He works closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary hand team including hand therapists, experienced nurses and other specialists who commonly deal with hand conditions.

Outside medicine he has been involved with cricket administration at state and national level and was a Sydney Premier grade umpire for more than 15 years.
These days he bushwalks and takes a keen interst in native plants and their uses.
